PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Here we created a custom locking mechanism for a removable windshield on a 32’ yacht tender. The tender is stored in the yachts garage, where there are apparent height constraints. It is necessary to remove the windshield each time you deploy or store the tender. Because of this, the crew did not want a locking system where tools were necessary.
We created this custom locking mechanism from solid stainless steel round bar. We used 316L stainless steel. The knurled head lets you tighten the screw without needing tools. The plastic gasket maintains pressure when tightened, to keep the screw in position.
